Sometimes you need to prove something happened, such as a top-up you paid for, without revealing everything else. Zcash's viewing keys and signed receipts make that possible in principle.

How it could work

  • Each top-up and each answer gets a signed receipt.
  • To ask for a refund, you show the receipt for that one payment, tied to your session.
  • We verify it without learning your wallet or reading your chats.

This is research, not a shipped feature. It will go through design review before it handles real refunds.
