What ZCode stores, and what it doesn't.
Draft
Not legal advice. This is a plain-language draft for the beta. A lawyer will review it before payment limits rise.
What we store
- A hash of your access key, so we can find your balance.
- Your credit ledger: top-ups, reserves and charges, with timestamps.
- Your encrypted chat backup, which we can't read without a key we never receive.
What we don't store
- Your name, email, phone or card.
- Your questions or documents, beyond the time it takes to answer them.
- Logs of what you ask.
Who else sees your questions
Your browser encrypts questions and attached documents to a secure enclave run by Tinfoil, after verifying it. ZCode's server forwards them without being able to read them, and records only their size and the token count needed for billing. They're decrypted inside the enclave to produce an answer.
Infrastructure
The app runs on Vercel and stores data in Neon Postgres. Those providers handle network-level data such as IP addresses under their own policies.
